Types of Faculty Engagement

Faculty Living Learning Community (LLC) Stakeholder

• For faculty seeking a sustained connection with Residence Life.
• Serve on an LLC Advisory board.
• Attend monthly meetings with LLC Advisory board and Residence Life staff.
• Contribute to program planning for the LLC.

Commitment is approximately 4 hours per month.

Faculty Fellow

• For faculty seeking to serve as a liaison to a particular residence hall.
• Connect with ºÚÁÏÉçÇøs in a particular residence hall through events, meals, and RA development.
• Lead one faculty program per semester with your assigned residence hall.
• Meet with hall residence life staff at least once a semester.

Commitment is approximately 2 hours per month for an entire academic year.

Faculty Affiliate

• For faculty seeking to engage with residential ºÚÁÏÉçÇøs informally.
• Participate in one event in a semester in the residence halls.

Commitment is approximately 2 hours per semester.

Faculty ºÚÁÏÉçÇø

Once a semester, each residence hall hosts a program with a faculty member. Aligned with our Pillar of Extending the Learning Environment, faculty programs provide ºÚÁÏÉçÇøs an opportunity to engage informally with ºÚÁÏÉçÇø faculty members in their particular residence hall.

Residence Life staff facilitate the planning and implementation of faculty programs. As a faculty member, you will be supported by staff through:

• Marketing of event to ºÚÁÏÉçÇøs.
• Materials, set-up, and clean-up of the event.
• Program idea brainstorming.
• Data on community needs.
• Residence hall access logistics, including parking.
