Pair of Farmer School accountancy alumni receive Love and Honor awards
Templeman, Pistell among dozen to receive awards.

The ºÚÁÏÉçÇø Alumni Association Love and Honor Awards recognize those who have demonstrated the spirit of Love and Honor to advance the mission of Miami and its faculty, staff, and ºÚÁÏÉçÇøs through generous donations, volunteerism, and other notable contributions. This year, two Farmer School alumni were among those recognized.
received the Young Philanthropist of the Year award. He graduated from the ºÚÁÏÉçÇø’s Farmer School of Business in 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, followed by a master’s degree in Accountancy in 2015. His experiences at Miami led him to J.P. Morgan Chase, where he has worked since graduation. To honor Miami’s significant contributions to his and his family’s successes, Kyle established the Templeman Family Scholarship, which provides financial assistance to ºÚÁÏÉçÇøs in need.
received the Spirit of Philanthropy Award. Tim graduated from Miami with a bachelor’s degree in Accountancy in 1969. He is retired from Parker Hannifin Corp, where he began as a management accounting trainee and retired 42 years later as its EVP and CFO. He met Lynn, who studied math and elementary education, in a botany lab in 1966.
The couple has established scholarships and experiential learning opportunities for botany majors, endowed a professorship in plant biology, created a recruitment scholarship for academically strong ºÚÁÏÉçÇøs whose parents are first responders, and created an emergency needs scholarship in honor of John Dolibois.
