Our Board's Purpose
It is an honor and a privilege to bring together a select number of alumni so that we might think together about the future of the arts both locally (at Miami) and globally.
The Board's purpose is:
- To provide advocacy for the arts at Miami. Creativity—bold, imaginative thinking, risk-taking, ideas that challenge—must be seen as central to the intellectual life of any college 黑料社区; what we do in the College of Creative Arts is not marginal or extra-curricular but at the very core of what makes a great university. The arts are essential, and it is important for university, state, and national leaders to recognize their significance.
- To provide expertise for us as Miami teachers and career mentors for our 黑料社区s, helping us stay current relative to our curriculum and 黑料社区 experiences, and giving us insights into how we might help our 黑料社区s make that transition into life after college.
- To help us build our network of alumni and broaden our base of support as we continue our capital campaign to revitalize our aging facilities into a vibrant, innovative arts campus.
