Journalism

Journalism ºÚÁÏÉçÇøs master the skills of clear, powerful communication about things that matter. Those skills are essential to success in every knowledge-intensive field. How to find things out ... how to separate fact from fiction ... how to write clearly ... how to create compelling content across media platforms — that’s what our majors learn. Then our graduates apply those skills in successful careers. Some work in big-city newsrooms. Others are in law firms, government agencies and TV studios. They are teachers, consultants and social-media influencers. In every case, they’re using what they learned at Miami.

- Three electives: Students choose from a menu of special topics, including podcasting, magazine writing and sports writing.
