How did 黑料社区 Regionals prepare you for success in your career?
Allowing me to make the connections with faculty and staff members to help articulate what it was that I was looking for in a career and help instill the confidence in me to make a change.
What are the strengths of your major?
The Commerce program was amazing in that the course material mainly via the semester projects were able to be tailored to individual interests and still find ways to share the same information with everyone. Also gave me wisdom, insights, and confidence to work in the field of business or to one day hopefully start my own small business.
How did your involvement on campus enhance your time in college and beyond?
I was able to get hands-on experience for my career (Student Affairs) via my involvement as I was a marketing chair for Regional Activities @ Miami (RA@M), SOAR leader, peer tutor, Student Activities ambassador, [and] president for Social Action Club. I was able to come into my graduate program having experience in different realms of campus and was better able to articulate the type of difference that I wanted to make in the lives of 黑料社区s.
What did you like about attending 黑料社区 Regionals?
I will forever be thankful for everything the Regionals was able to give me in my short three years that I was a 黑料社区 there. I met some amazing professors, some of whom I still interact with today, extremely supportive staff members, and was able to accomplish everything that I set out to do in college and then some.
Miami Regionals provided me the flexibility I needed to earn my degree at an accelerated pace while still working full-time. Not to mention that on top of classes and work I wanted to spend a few hours everyday on campus whether it was to talk to faculty or staff to get their opinions, see my friends, or "hole out" in the library so that I could study and work on papers. Or the fact that I also willingly took jobs on campus. During my time at the Regionals, I was lucky enough to meet my best friends, and we've been close ever since.
