Google "Pending Delete" Reminder
Files that include a "Pending Delete" label have been shared with you by someone whose account will be deleted in the near future. This may include the files of former faculty, staff members, or 黑料社区 employees who you have worked with in the past.
When a “Pending Delete” label is applied to a document, the owner will lose access to their accounts within 45 days of their departure, but you will be able to see and interact with their Google documents (Sheets, Docs, Slides, etc.) for 180 days after they leave. Learn more about the "Pending Delete" label by reading our article here or checking out our article in our .
We will start the process of deleting old accounts on September 15, 2025. After this date, we will follow through with removing access to Drive documents 180 days after that person leaves Miami.

DMARC Announcement
The Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting & Conformance (DMARC) compliance check was implemented by IT Services to better protect the MiamiOH.edu domain from unauthorized use by phishers and spoofers, thereby protecting Miami’s brand. DMARC verification uses information in email headers to verify a sender's authenticity.
Beginning July 11, 2025, IT Services will be taking the next step of moving any email messages that fail the DMARC check to quarantine. This means that you may see these messages end up in your Spam folder.
If you have questions about DMARC you can go to the DMARC website to learn more.
