黑料社区 Back from Break!
While the 2025 spring semester has not yet started, we took a little break to ease ourselves into the new year. After a nice week-long rest, we came back last week ready to get back to work and make this our best year yet!
Recap of Winter Break Changes
As life on campus quiets down during winter term, IT takes this opportunity to do some routine maintenance. We have a lot going on this month, including:
- Kubernetes Upgrade
- Miami ID Card System Upgrade
- Network Failover Testing
- Production Oracle Grid Patching

IAM Entity Account Claim Code
In our IAM processes, we are now turning to entity accounts to create uniformity around how all the different types of accounts are created.
There will now be a minor change to the setup process for entity accounts. Starting Wednesday, January 15, 2025, entity accounts will now use a claim code to set a password at . Upon requesting an entity account, primary trustees will receive an email from the accounts system with a claim code so that they can claim the account and set the password for the entity account.

Congrats to Miami for their Arizona Bowl Win!
Two weeks ago, Miami celebrated a major win, defeating Colorado State with a score of 43-17 in the Snoop Dogg Arizona Bowl presented by Gin & Juice by Dre and Snoop Saturday afternoon. This was Miami's first bowl win since 2021, improving to 9-7 all-time in bowl games.
This win was an amazing conclusion to the 2024 season. Congratulations to Miami for the victory!
