Graeme Banks, Advice to his first-year self

Why Miami?

The campus and community, the people, and the academic program. I love it. It is the perfect school for anyone — from the tight-knit community to ºÚÁÏÉçÇø orgs, and uptown, there is a place for everyone.

What are the best things about your Major?

Getting to meet and work with a wide variety of people from such different places and experiences.

Research experience

I have received an independent research grant through the Honors College for a project on the impact of home economics curriculum.

Teaching Field Experience

I learned how to navigate conflict, work with a hard deadline, and understand the legal and education system better.

What advice would you give to your first-year self?

It will all work out — put yourself out there and try new things.

Who has been your favorite professor, and why?

Dr. Noltemeyer for her experience and expertise in public education and psychology and Dr. Norris's expertise in foreign policy and the West is unbelievable.
